VETERAM-Funeral services for John Toal, 38, of 617 Central av. Newport, director of the Newport Lodge of Moose, who died Friday following an illness of six weeks, will be conducted Tuesday from the residence at 8:30 am followed by a requiem high mass at 9 am in Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be in St Stephen Cemetery. Toal was identified prominently with the Newport Lodge of Moose and was widely known in the Moose organization throughout the state. He was manager of the Teagarden Cigar Co Cincinnati. The deceased also was prominent in the James Wallace Costigan Post, American Legion. Both the Moose and Legion organizations are to take part in the funeral service.

Toal is survived by a sister, Mrs. Edward Cottman and two brothers, Joseph and Charles Toal, all of Newport. Muehlenkamp, Costigan & Roll funeral directors have charge of the funeral.

RITES-Members of the James Wallace Costigan Post, American Legion, will hold services at the home of the late John Toal, 617 Central av. Newport, Monday at 7:30 pm. The firing squad will be in charge of the burial services which are to be held at St Stephen Cemetery Tuesday morning following requiem high mass at the Immaculate Conception Church at 9 am.
