Announcement has been made of the engagement of Miss Mary Jane Riggs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee H Riggs and John H Voige Jr. son of Mr. and Mrs. J Howard Voige, Ft Thomas. A graduate of the Cincinnati College of Pharmacy, Mr. Voige was discharged from the Navy in May with the rank of Lieutenant (JG) after serving three years.

Jan 12-Joan Vall, wife of Paul, presented her husband with a third child. The created a shortage at the pharmacy as Mr. Vall with his wife was attending the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy in Lexington.
Jan 15-Pharmacist Dick Donelan suffered a heart attack.
Jan 20-Cosmetician Julia Eads was unable to leaver her trailer for work, the door was frozen.
Jan 26-Mr. Vall fell on the ice and is confined to St Luke Hospital.
