DROWNS IN LICKING-The fourth drowning in Campbell County this year was recorded yesterday with the death of John R Yazelle, 27, of 1105 Pendleton street, Cincinnati, who drowned late yesterday in the Licking River, six miles south of Newport. Search for the body continued today by county police. Mr. Yazelle, it was learned by Harry Rosenhagen and Albert Gerhardt, county patrolmen, swam to the Kenton county side and upon his return he was either seized with cramps or became exhausted.
The victim had accompanied four Newport men to the river on a fishing trip. He and Frank Chalen, York street, were the only members of the party to go swimming. William Taylor, 334 Monmouth street, and Harry and Charles Walker, 330 Monmouth street, remained on the shore. The victim disappeared before Mr. Chaplen could reach him.
