Joseph William and Catharine Fessler

Joseph William Fessler was born 27 Apr 1814 in Ichenheim, Offenburg, Baden Germany to Isador Fessler and Katharina Fritsch.  He migrated to the United States with his brother William Fessler about 1840.  He settled in Cold Spring and married Catharine Diering in 1842.  He declared oath of naturalization in the Alexandria Courthouse in May 1844. Joseph died 21 Feb 1897 in Cold Spring and was buried in St Joseph Cemetery in Camp Springs.  Catharine died 20 Aug 1888 and was buried in St Joseph Cemetery in Camp Springs.
