Joseph Meier (sic) Jr. a member of the Campbell County
Road Patrol for the last four years, submitted his resignation Friday to County
Judge Odis W Bertlesman. Mr. Meier is to assume his new duties as manager of
Newport Elks Temple, 312 York street, next week. Under his new position Mr.
Meier will have complete charge of the Elks lodge and the conduct of all social
affairs held there. Mr. Meier, a veteran of World War II and a member of the
Elks Lodge for many years, lives at 30 17th street, South Newport.
