DEATH-Requiem High Mass will be sung at 9 a.m. Wednesday
at St Thomas Church for Joseph C. Ritzie, 79, who died early Monday at his home,
135 Tremont avenue, Fort Thomas. Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery.
Rev. Robert Bassmann, S.J., a nephew, will be celebrant
of the Mass. Besides one nephew, a faculty member at Xavier University, Mr.
Ritzie leaves his widow Catherine Ritzie; two sisters, Miss Lena Ritzie and Mrs.
Barbara Trauth, Newport; and another nephew, Cyril Gardner, Newport. He was
brother-in-law of Fred Baseman, Newport attorney. He was a member of the
Holy Name Society of St Thomas Church which will meet at 8 pm at the funeral
home, and of St Stephen Court, Catholic Order of Foresters, which will meet at
8:15. He was a 50-year member of the latter organization.

Muehlenkamp Funeral Home, 835 York-st, Newport, Wednesday at 8:30 am. Requiem
High Mass St Thomas Church at 9 am. Friends may call after 4 pm Tuesday.
