NEWPORT

George Keyes, for the murder of Edward Jones at Pond Creek a few days ago, was tried yesterday before Esquire Spilman at Alexandria and acquitted, the fact being justified by the court.  Hon Tarvin Baker appeared for the defense and delivered one of the ablest speeches ever heard in the Court at Alexandria.
