Laura Lyons

 

Laura Knarr was born 1 Feb 1891 in Newport, the daughter of Jacob Knarr and Elizabeth Heineman. She married William Lyons in 1909 but were later divorced. She later married Arthur Albert Glaser. She died 4 Dec 1964 in Ft Thomas and was buried in Evergreen.

Charged with assault and battery after two girls, 11 and 13, charged he made improper advances toward them, Peter Pogan, 59, railroad crossing watchman, Newport, was held for grand jury. Mrs. Laura Lyons, juvenile matron filed the charge after the two girls said he acted disorderly after they accepted his invitaion to visit his home.

Mrs. Glaser's husband, Arthur, a former toll collector on the old Central Bridge, is now associated with the Walker Motor Co. Newport.
