CASE REOPENED-The contempt charge against Sheriff Keslar grows out of his alleged appearance at Beverly Hills when a bingo game was conducted in violation of the temporary injunction issued by Judge Vest, which enjoins all gaming operations and compels law enforcement officials to enforce the gaming laws.

DEADLINE-The office of Sheriff Lee B Keslar was a busy scene as taxpayers filed into the office to pay their county and state taxes. This, too was the final day for the payment of taxes. Sheriff Keslar will keep his office open until 9 pm for the convenience of the late comers.

FESTIVAL-Plans for the annual festival given by the Sixth Ward Booster Club to be held July 20, 21, and 22 at Andrews Center, Newport. Funds raised will go into the postwar fund to care for returning servicemen. Lee B Keslar, Campbell county sheriff, was honored at the meeting.
