Mr. and Mrs. Otis Baynum, Route 10 Flagg Springs, Campbell
county, have received word Monday night that their son, Pvt. Leroy W Baynum, 22
was killed in action in Italy Nov 11. The message came from the War Department.
Before entering the service a year ago, Pvt. Baynum was a farmer. Besides his parents, he leaves eight brothers and sisters. One brother Pvt. Elmer Baynum, also in the service is stationed in New Guinea.
