Leroy John Kremer

WOUNDED-Army Pvt. Leroy J Kremer, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kremer, Four Mile road, Melbourne, was wounded Oct 31 while serving in Korea, the Department of Defense announced Monday. The father, a Campbell county farmer, said his son, a member of the medical corps, was helping pick up wounded soldier on the battlefield when struck by fragments of a mortar shell.

Pvt. Kremer was wounded in the right leg, below the knee and the right hand. The wounds apparently were not serious. A brother, John H Kremer, 23, is home on leave from Ft Knox, where he has been stationed with the Army for almost two years. He expects to be discharged about Jan 1.
