NEWPORT
Louis W Asmus, a pioneer citizen of Newport, died early yesterday
morning at his home, 230 West Fourth street, after a short illness, due to
stomach trouble. He was a member of the local Lodge of German Pioneers and a
prominent Odd Fellow.
He leaves a wife and three children.
