Miss Macon, one of the trained nurses at Speers Hospital in Dayton was operated on Friday by Dr. J J Phythian and Dr. J O Jenkins for blood poisoning. Miss Macon was waiting on a patient several weeks ago and her hand was blood poisoned. It soon went into that arm and that member was swollen to double its natural size. The young woman is suffering such excruciating pain that the physicians decided to operate. They say she will get well.
