SCHOOL BOARD-At the last meeting of the School Board, Mrs. Mary E
Burgess was reinstated as teacher at an increased salary of $35 per month and
John W Goddard at $40 per month.

At the meeting of the School Board evening before last, the claims of teachers for salaries were allowed. Miss Burgess was granted leave of absence for three weeks to visit her friends; and James Root, who had been expelled for refractory conduct, was permitted to resume his studies provided he apologize for his misdemeanor.
