Mrs. Mary A. Decker Dies at 84 In Newport Home

Mrs. Mary A. Enzweiler Decker, 506 W. 12th St., Newport, a long-time resident of Newport who at one time lived in a log cabin in the city, died yesterday at her home. She was 84 years old.

A native of California, KY, Mrs. Decker and her husband, John J. Decker, 86, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last spring.  Mr. Decker is a retired truck gardener and former assistant brew master at Wiedemann Brewing Co, Newport.

Among the survivors of Mrs. Decker are three grandsons who are all employed at the Cincinnati Post.  They are Richard Rawe, a reporter; John Feldmann, of the advertising staff, and Robert Feldmann, a printer. Also surviving are her five daughters, Mrs. John L. Feldmann, Newport; Mrs. Hilda Rawe, Southgate; Mrs. A. J. Fisher, Newport; Mrs. Earl Gleason, Newport; and Mrs. Herbert J. Rebhan, Southgate; a sister, Mrs. Louise Erhardt, California, Ky; 22 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held from the Muehlenkamp funeral home, Newport. Burial will be in St Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas.
