NEWPORT
The death of Miss Mary Thornton, eldest daughter of Griffin
Thornton, and a niece of Colonel Taylor, is announced. She died last Saturday
night of consumption.
Her sweet and gentle disposition won for her the general esteem and her death will be regretted by a wide circle of friends.
