The bond of E L Southgate to the Trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church South of the Mount Pleasant Society, being filed and notice to the holders of the legal title duly executed by which said E L Southgate, dec'd. agreed to convey the legal title to them, a certain piece of land upon which said trustees have erected the improvements required by said bond, as appears from proof introduced to court upon motion of W R Taliaferro, Thomas Farmer and Geo Guy, it is ordered that Jonathan J Thomas, James Parker and John H Nelson be appointed commissioners to convey by deed legal title of Ann M Smiley, widow of E L Southgate, Evans D Southgate, Richard Southgate, Wm W Southgate, Ed Lush, James Moss, Henry Hinde Southgate, children and heirs of E L Southgate in and to the property ascribed in the bond.

Whereas at the April term 1860 of the Campbell County Court, the Trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church South of the Mount Pleasant Society, William R Tallieferro, Thomas Farmer and George Guy, having filed the bond of E L Southgate, dec'd. obligating himself to convey the legal title to a certain piece of land, and reasonable and legal notice having been given the parties interested, viz; Ann M Smilley, widow of said Southgate and Evan D, Richard, William W, Ed Lush, James Moss and Henry Hinde Southgate, that they would on said day move the Judge of Campbell County to appoint commissioners to convey the title of said parties to said land to the aforementioned trustees and whereas it appearing from proof that said bond was the act and deed of said E L Southgate, and that the requirements therein were fully complied with on the part of said trustees therefore in consideration of the afore going premises, commissioners convey tract of land.

Viz: one quarter of an acre of land situated on the Jamestown Road in Campbell County Ky. about 2 miles from Jamestown and adjoining the land of said W R Talioferro upon which a church is now erected.

The Commissioners appointed to convey to the trustees of the Mount Pleasant M E Church a lot of land in the county this day produced a deed which was approved by the court and acknowledged the same to be their act and deed.
