NEWPORT PUBLIC SCHOOLS

On Monday our schools will open for fall term. During the vacation the school houses have been cleaned, whitewashed and fitted up in a manner superior to their previous arrangements. The children and teachers will hail with delight the reunion of their labors and we bespeak a pleasant time to both on Monday next.

The names of the teachers who will officiate during the ensuing session are: T D Edwards, Principal; J W Goddard, Miss Glancey, Mrs. Burgess, Miss Kernchan, Miss Tingley, Miss Babcock, Miss Barnes, Miss Maria McComas, Miss Eva McComas, Miss English, Miss Alexander and Miss McConnell.
