NEWPORT-The L M Dayton Anchor Iron and Steel Works will resume operations tomorrow.

The Court of Appeals have affirmed the decision of the case of the Commonwealth vs. Geo Sontag, who was sentenced to two years imprisonment in the State penitentiary for horse stealing.

William F Williamson and wife yesterday transferred to E Mary Williamson the one-twenty eighth interest in the Newport and Cincinnati Ferry franchise; $1 and other good and valuable considerations.

Ernest Carter, a young lad of fourteen years, had the lowest jaw bone fractured in three places last Saturday, by being thrown from a horse, near Cold Spring, and tramped on. He is lying in critical condition.
