                        LOCAL PARTY LEADER DIES                           

Heart Attack Proves Fatal to Nicholas Dutle

Nicholas Dutle, 62, prominent political leader of Northern Kentucky & Ohio, died of a heart attack Wednesday at his home, 911 Putman-st, Newport. Dutle formerly was international president of the Metal Polishers’ Union, and was state secretary of the Ohio State Liquor League, until passage of the prohibition laws. He was a member of the Elks, Moose and Eagles, of Dayton, Ohio, where he had lived for several years after leaving Newport 35 years ago.  He had lived in Newport for the last 12 years.

The Life Saving Squad of Newport Fire Department worked an hour in an attempt to revived Dutle, who is survived by his wife, Nellie Purcell Dutle; his father, Vincent Dutle; a son, Nicholas, Jr; a daughter, May; three brothers, Harry, John & Joseph and two sisters, Mary & Elizabeth Dutle.

Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home of Muehlenkamp, Costigan & Roll, followed by requiem high mass at Corpus Christi Church,
