FATAL WOUNDS-A War Department telegram has informed Mr. and Mrs. Harlan McIntosh, 831 Central avenue, Newport, that their son PFC Park McIntosh, died March 5 as the result of wounds suffered in action in Italy the previous day. Last week the family was notified he had been wounded seriously.
A member of an Army artillery unit, PFC McIntosh enlisted in August 1940 and had been overseas since December 1942. He was a former student of Newport High School. Besides his parents he leaves a nine year old sister Annette. An uncle Sergt. Carl Cook, brother of Mrs. McIntosh, enlisted at the same time McIntosh did and they both arrived overseas during the same month.
