Paul Frederick Feilen

Petty Officer Third Class Paul F Feilen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Feilen, 555 E Fourth street, Newport, now home on a 30 day furlough, has been cited for the hazardous removal of aerial bombs from the hold of a damaged ship. Enlisting in the Navy in 1942, Petty Officer Feilen took part in six Pacific engagements.

His father is a veteran of World War I and is past commander of James Wallace Costigan Post, American Legion. A brother Cpl. Gayle, is in Germany.
