Mechan Gets His Children
The habeas corpus proceedings instituted in the Circuit Court by
Philip Mechan, of Lexington, against the St Joseph Orphan Asylum to secure the
custody of his three children placed in that place during the fall of 1892, were
heard yesterday morning.
Judge Brown responded for the Home Trustees and stated that his clients did not care tohold the children if the father wanted to take them away.
