KILLED-Tech 4 Phillip Leichtle, 31, husband of Mrs. Louse Leichtle, of Dodsworth Lane, Cold Spring and son of Mrs. Jenny Leichtle, of 7 Dexter road, Southgate, was killed in action April 17 in Germany, the War Department has informed his family. He was a member of a tank unit attached to the Seventh Army.
Tech Leichtle entered the Army Dec 19, 1942, and had been overseas since October 1944. He was an alumnae of Campbell County High School and was employed as a crane operator by the Andrews Steel Co. before entering service. He also leaves two children, Phillip, 3, and Santia Lee, 17 months.
