Pvt. Ralph (Pete) Anderson, 30, husband of Mrs. Mildred Anderson, 214 Foote avenue, Bellevue, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Anderson, 477 Foote avenue, Bellevue, was wounded July 31, the War Department advised his family. Pvt. Anderson was on duty with the infantry in France.

KILLED-Sgt. Ralph "Pete" Anderson, 30, husband of Mrs. Mildred Anderson, 214 Foote avenue, Bellevue, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Anderson, 477 Foote avenue, Bellevue, previously listed as wounded, is not reported as killed in action Aug 25 in France, his family was informed. As previous report which stated Sgt. Anderson as wounded in action was in error, according to a War Department telegram received Thursday. Entering the Army in August 1943, Sgt. Anderson was sent on overseas duty in May 1944. A brother, PFC Dale Anderson is now stationed in New York.

Ralph Anderson died 25 Aug 1944 in Brest, Department du Finistère, Bretagne, France, and was buried in the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial in Saint-James, Departement de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France.
