Captain Joe Shaw Ross Bridge

This bridge carries Highland Avenue over the interstate in Fort Thomas and is named for a 25 year old Air Force officer and Fort Thomas native killed in Vietnam.  Ross' family joined with Governor Julian Carroll, Transportation Secretary Calvin Grayson, Air Force representatives, Campbell County's state legislators and local officials for a dedication ceremony, Monday, October 29, 1979 directed by Campbell County Judge Executive Lambert Hehl.

The $500,000 structure took two years to build.
