Samuel Bryan

The stone for Samuel Bryan simple states the date of birth and death with no reference to his parents. Samuel Sr. was born in 1797 and married Cynthia Carmack.. He and Cynthia's last child together was Mortimer Bryan. Cynthia Carmack Bryan died in 1838.
Samuel's father, Samuel Bryan Sr. then married Harriet Rich on September 10, 1839. Samuel E was born June 30, 1840. His father, Samuel Sr. died three months later on October 5, 1840. Samuel cannot be the son of Cynthia Carmack. The date of his birth is based on a copy of the obituary and the date on the stone.
I have a copy of the marriage certificate between Samuel and Harriet Rich. The court then divided the children among several family members, except for Samuel. Harriet Rich Bryan then married a William A Mann in Kenton County.
