FIREFIGHTER-Requiem High Mass will be sung for Samuel Purcell, veteran Newport fireman, at Corpus Christi Church at 9 am Friday. Burial will be in St Stephen Cemetery, Ft Thomas. Mr. Purcell died Tuesday at his home, 916 Putnam street, after a heart attack. He was 65 and had been a member of the Fire Department for about 20 years.
He leaves a daughter, Miss Mary Edith Purcell; a brother, Thomas Purcell; and two sisters, Mrs. Mollie M Duttle and Mrs. William Maunders. Muehlenkamp, Costigan & Roll, Newport are in charge of funeral services.
