COLORED SCHOOL COMMENCEMENT
The commencement week exercises of the Southgate-st school,
colored, Newport, will begin Sunday evening at the Corinthian Baptist Church,
when the baccalaureate sermon will be delivered by Prof. A J DeHart, of
Cincinnati. On Monday evening the children's entertainment and reception to
parents and friends will be held a St Paul's A ME Church, and Thursday evening
the annual excursion to the Zoological Garden will take place.
The ninth annual commencement will be held Friday evening at Park-st School Hall and the address will be delivered by Rev I N Ross, D D, of Atlanta Ga. The week's events will close Saturday with the annual visit of the high school and upper grades to the Cincinnati Art Museum.
