Attorney Aubrey Barbour, representing James Robinson in the damage suit against Charles Mauget, petitioned to set aside the order of court which set aside the judgment of $500 against Mauget as excessive. The case dates back to last year, when Robinson was engineer on the Mary F Golden.

Mauget's son was captain of the boat and the father took possession of it and had the men arrested. Robinson sued for $2000, claiming his marine reputation had been injured to that amount. He was given judgment for $500 which was later set aside for being excessive.
