DIES-Squire Stephen D McVean, 73, one of the best known residents of Campbell co. died yesterday afternoon in Speers Hospital from hernia, with which he was stricken at his home in Alexandria two weeks ago. Squire McVean came to Campbell co. from Pontiac Michigan, where he was born about 65 years ago and ever since had been a resident of the county.
He had served several years as a Magistrate of the upper part of the county and held other offices of trust. Three daughters, Margaret, who is practicing law in Oklahoma City; Franny, who is a principal in the public schools there and Mary also of the same place and a son, Sandy McVean of Alexander, survive. The funeral will take place tomorrow morning with services at the Baptist Church, Alexandria, at 11 am.
