FT THOMAS-Battalion Sergeant Major Thomas Dalton, of the Third, discharged under provisions of General Orders NO 61, War Department, has re-enlisted for service in Alaska. Dalton was at home in Lowell, Mass. when he heard that volunteer regiments were being enrolled for the Philippine campaign. He at once resigned a good position and went to the islands with the Twenty-sixth Volunteers, was on duty as assistant to the Chief Clerk of the Department of the Visages and Sergeant Major of his regiment.

He has served in the Second, Eighteenth and Third Regiments and is a well known non commissioned staff officer of excellent qualifications for office.
