Thomas Raffe, 68, died early Saturday morning at his home at Glen Park, in Campbell County. Deceased was a highly respected and pioneer resident of this county and was favorably known. he passed almost his entire life here. He was a member of the German Pioneers and William Nelson Post, GAR both in Newport. A wife and one child survive him.

NEWPORT Ky. July 27-Thomas Raffel, aged 68 years, died Sunday morning at the family residence on River road. He had been suffering for some time with rheumatism and his advanced age made his recovery impossible. The deceased had been a resident of the county for the past 80 years and was a prosperous farmer.

He was a member of the German Pioneers and the Grand Army of the Republic. The funeral will take place Monday morning at 9 am from the family residence. Interment in Four Mile Cemetery.
