NEWPORT NEWS
MILITARY ARRESTS-Thompson Craig, formerly one of John Morgan's
men, is also under arrest in this city, charged with attempting to enlist a
young man for the rebel army. Craig was with Morgan in his Indiana and
Ohio raid. He was arrested in Tennessee, took the oath and was permitted
to return to his home in Gallatin County, Kentucky, where he was arrested by C W
Farris, Provost Marshal.
