After a long illness, Mrs. Katherine Elbert, 64, mother of two policemen, died Saturday at her home. Her sons in the police service are Willard Elbert, sergeant and Roy Elbert, patrolman. Her husband, Peter; a daughter Mrs. Helen Landers and three other sons survive.

They are Walter Elbert, druggist, Silver Grove Ky. and Clifford and Arthur. Funeral services are to be held Wednesday at St Cecilia Church, Oakley. Burial will be in St Mary Cemetery, St Bernard.

Warrants for the arrest of eight restaurant and cafe owners on River rd. were sworn to Friday by Rev J Newton Coe, evangelist and vice crusader, before Judge C Buten in Campbell County Court. The warrants charge the defendants with the possession of slot machines.

Those named are; Bessie Weber, Walter C Elbert, Edward Brash, Lawrence McDonough, S B Doc Edwards, W W White, Gus Miller and Edward Moesscher.

Charged with petit larceny after he is alleged to have stone 12 fountain pens from the pharmacy of Walter Elbert, River rd. and Four Mile Pike, Silver Grove, Max McCormick pleaded guilty. Elbert told police he saw the defendant take the pens and he pursued him to the railroad yars, where he, with the aid of Edward Jones, C&O RR dectective arriest the suspect. The pens were found in the possession of McCormick.

Requiem High Mass for Mrs. Irene Marie Elbert, 42, Red Cross executive of Silver Grove, will be sung at 9 am Wednesday at St Philip Church, Melbourne following prayers at the Muehlenkamp, Costigan and Roll funeral home, Newport. Burial will be in St Stephen Cemetery, Ft Thomas. Mrs. Elbert died Saturday at her home on River Road, Silver Grove.

She leaves her husband, Walter C; a son Walter Jr. and a daughter, Miss Marian Elbert, both of Silver Grove; two sisters Miss Leona Bockman and a brother Francis Bockman and her mother Mrs. Anna Bockman, all of Cincinnati.
