PFC Wenton L Fossitt, son of Mrs. Virgie Fossitt, of Route 2, California, Ky. was recently killed in action in the European theater, according to the official War Department casualty release Tuesday.

RITES-Services for Pfc. WentonLloyd Fossitt, Pendleton county soldier killed in World War II, will be held at Wesley Chapel Methodist Church, at 2:30 pm Wednesday. Military rites will be conducted in the church cemetery. Pfc. Fossitt, who was 22, was killed in France on Feb 6, 1945, while serving with the 14th Armored Division.
He leaves a son, Durrell Fossitt, Cincinnati; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fossitt, Wesley Chapel; three sisters, Mrs. Frances Kuse, Newport; Miss Bettie Fossitt, Covington; and Miss Melba Fossitt, at home and a brother, Harold at Home. The C R Peoples funeral home, Butler, is in charge of arrangements.
