NEWPORT
George Weyman, filed suit yesterday in the Campbell Circuit Court
against the city of Newport. Police Judge Hawkins and License Officer Cottingham
for an injunction to prevent the defendants from enforcing the provisions of an
ordinance levying a tax on milk venders who use a wagon.
Weyman claims the the ordinance is class legislation inasmuch as milk venders who do not use a wagon are exempt.
