LAST WILL OF C. GLENKER

I, Conrad Glenker of Campbell County Kentucky, being sound in body and mind and of disposing memory, do hereby make ordain and publish this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following:

First:  It is my will and I hereby direct that after my death and all my just debts and funeral expenses be first made.

Second:  It is my will and I hereby give bequeath and devise all my personal property of whatever kind and character to my wife, Regina Glenker to have as her own in fee simple, absolutely to use, sell and dispose of as she may see fit.

Third:  It is my will and I hereby give, bequeath and devise all my real estate that I may die the owner seized and possessed of wherever, situated to my said wife Regina Glenker to have and to use during the period of her natural life, and after her death to be equally divided among my children to-wit: Barbara Grause, wife of Constantine Graus, Mary Sophia Zufluch, Frederick Glenker, Hortense Brausch, wife of Ferdinand Brausch, Elisabeth McGrau, wife of Martin McGrau, Apalona Higis, wife of Faltine Higis, Rosa Gatz, wife of John Gatz, and Albert Glenker. The object of this devise is to give my said wife a bit estate only in said estate and I want it understood and construed and after she has enjoyed the same during her natural life, as a life Tenant only only that my said children take the fee simple in said real estate.

Fourth:  I hereby nominate and appoint my said wife, Regina Glenker, Executor of this my last Will and Testament and it is my desire that the Court probating this will, will not require her to give bond as executor.

In Witness whereof I have unto my hand this, the 5th day of July in the year.. (year cut off)

This is to certify that the above instrument of writing was signed, sealed and published and delivered by said Conrad Glenker as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request, in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses the day and year above written.

Codicil to the last Will and Testament of Conrad Glenker.

Whereas I, Conrad Glenker of Campbell County, Kentucky, did on the Fifth day of July 1885, make my last Will and Testament of that date, do hereby declare this to be a Codicil of the same.

I hereby ratify and affirm said Will in every respect save so far as any part of it is inconsistent with this Codicil.

I hereby give and bequeath to the children of my daughter Elizabeth McGrau, deceased, in lieu of their mother’s share, the sum of one thousand dollars to be equally divided among them and to be paid to each of them by my executor hereinafter named upon arriving at the age of twenty one years.

In the event of any of my devisees should become dissatisfied with the provisions of my last Will and Testament, or of this Codicil, and contest the same in the Courts, then I will land direct that such devisee or devisees so contesting take nothing whatever of my estate.

I hereby nominate and appoint my son Fred Glenker my sole Executor and request of the Court that he be required to give no bond as such.

In witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand this 12th day of March in the year 1901.

The foregoing last Will and Testament of Conrad Glenker deceased was this day produced in open Court, filed, proven established and ordered to record as the last Will and Testament of said decedent.
