ELECTED-James Wallace Costigan Post, American Legion, met Monday night and elected a Board of Trustees to take the place of the old Executive Committee which was done away with several weeks ago. Trustees are Taylor Anstead, Conrad Matz and Eugene Daly. Members of the post were addressed by Dr. W W Anderson, who served as major in the Medical Corps of the American Army during the late war. Dr. Anderson told of his experience in the army.

Dr. W W Anderson, 79, retired Newport physician, died Monday at his home, 919 N Ft Thomas avenue, Ft Thomas, after a short illness. A native of Sunman Ind. Dr. Anderson, who had been retired 13 years, was a major in the Medical Corps in World War I and served for 13 years as an administrator in the Veterans Bureau.
Services will be held at 2 pm Thursday at the Vonderhaar & Stetter funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Besides his widow, Mrs. Katherine Anderson, he leaves one son, Wesley of Detroit; two brothers, Henry, Sunman Ind. and Oliver, Greenburg Ind; one sister Miss Arabella Anderson of Greensburg and three grandchildren.
