FT THOMAS-Lieut. William K McCue, of the First Infantry, who has been in Washington under medical treatment for several months, it is understood, will be ordered before a retiring board, which will be directed to convene at Washington within the next few weeks.

At the time Lieut. McCue, who is well known in the three cities and has a fine military record, was ordered to Washington for treatment in the Government hospital. It was believed that he had become temporarily insane on account of the arduous services in the Philippines.

FT THOMAS-Lieut. William K McCue, First Infantry, will probably be transferred to the retired list on account of disability. This is the recommendation of the board which recently convened for the purpose of examining that officer and ascertaining whether or not he was incapacitated for duty. Lieut. McCue has been under treatment at the Government Hospital for the Insane for some months in the hope that he would be pronounced fit for duty. The case is now before the Surgeon General who is likely to take the view of the board, from which the opinion is expressed that the officer's disability was due to service in the Philippines.
