SOLDIER DIES-The body of Pvt. William L Meader, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. William D Meader, 58 Taylor avenue, Ft Thomas, who died at Camp Crowder, Mo. Thursday after a three weeks illness, is to be returned here Friday for burial. Pvt. Meader's mother was at his bedside at the time of his death.
His father also had been at Camp Crowder but had returned to Ft Thomas when it was believed Pvt. Meader was recovering. The young soldier died of pneumonia after complications set in. A graduate of St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Pvt. Meader had been in the Army Signal Corps nine months. He ahd received Signal Corps training at the University of Kentucky and Avon Field Ky. and later was transferred to Camp Crowder. He was the only child.
