William Habig, wife and five children, living on the second floor, escaped from flames in a three story building at Montana and Harrison avenues early Thursday. Habig's drug store on the first floor was almost destroyed by fire and water. Loss throughout the building will reach $11,000. [William Jr. was one of the children]

Then the second alarm came, the department was spreading tarpaulin over a window at the Habig drug store, Taylor avenue, where a stone thrown by the tire of a passing auto crashed through the window.

Ann Mary Habig, six month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Habig, 338 Bonnie Leslie avenue, Bellevue, died on congestion of the chest early Saturday at home, members of the Dayton Life Squad reported. Squd members worked 45 minutes to revive the child, daughter of the owner of Habig's Prescription Pharmacy.
