Funeral services for William F Heppner, former Newport policeman and Spanish American War veteran will be held at the Fred A Erschell & Son funeral home, Newport, Wednesdy at 2 pm. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Heppner was 61. He died Monday at the home of Fred Wagner, 1020 John street, Newport, with whom he lived. He fell from his bed early yesterday and was removed to Speers Hospital by police. After being treated he was returned to his home.
The Newport life saving squad was called later in the day and found him dead. Mr. Heppner died of a skull fracture, Coroner August Helmbold said following a post mortem examination last night. He is to continue his investigation. He leaves two brothers, John and Walter Heppner.
