RIVER MAN-Funeral services for Capt. W C Lepper, native of Newport and retired river man, who died Saturday at Madison Indiana, following a short illness, will be held at Evergreen Cemetery chapel, Wednesday at 1:30 pm. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. He was 91.

Capt. Lepper suffered a broken hip a week ago. For more than 50 years prior to his retirement in 1918, he has served as captain on Ohio River boats plying between Pittsburgh and New Orleans. Capt. Lepper moved from Newport to Madison following his retirement. He leaves two sons, Clayton B Lepper, Kentucky Post advertising man and Capt. W C Lepper Jr. Walnut Hills; three daughters, Mrs. V C Vatter, Madison; Mrs. W D Wooden, Columbus Ind. and Mrs. J C Miller, Lakewood O; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Lepper was 94 and was a retired river man. He leaves two sons, Clayton B Lepper, advertising man with the Kentucky Post and three daughters. Services were to be held at the Evergreen Cemetery chapel at 1:30 pm.
