Body of
Former Newport Cafe Owner Will Be Buried Tuesday
Last rites will be held Thursday for William Velkley, 36, of 15 Licking Pike, Newport, who died Monday at his home. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the home of his sister, Mrs. William Schneider, 234 W. 12th-st, Newport. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Velkley, formerly conducted a cafe in Newport and was active in Republican political circles. He was widely known throughout Campbell County.
His mother, Mrs. Margaret Velkley, and three sisters, Mrs. William Schneider, Newport; Mrs. August Schneider, Cold Springs, and Mrs. ALvin Muehlehbeck, Southgate, survive him.
