NEWPORT
In the County Court yesterday the last will and testament of
Janett Hewitt, deceased of Newport, was offered for probate. The will was drawn
in 1850 and the testatrix died in 1876. One of the witnesses has since died, and
the other is now a resident of Texas.
Whereupon a commission issued to the proper officers in Texas was signed and will be forwarded and the deposition of the witness returned to this city.
