George Thomas Higginson, a native of Ireland, came to Virginia in 1784. He married Mary Stockwell, a native of Maryland about 1788, although no marriage record has been found. They
were in Bourbon Co KY by 1792, where his name appears on tax lists through 1797.

George Higginson was in Warren Co KY in 1800, where his name appears on several deeds.
In 1810 George and Mary Higginson are listed in the Henderson Co KY census with thirteen children.

George Higginson and Mary Stockwell were the parents of fourteen children. The youngest, Washington Higginson is buried in this cemetery and probably others are buried here also.
