Sarah Elizabeth "Bet" Thornberry was the daughter of Russell K. Thornberry and Emeline Poole, who are both buried at the Watson-Thornberry Cemetery.

"Bet" Thornberry married Bill Bridwell 21 Oct 1860 in one of the first marriages in the new county of Webster. They became the parents of eleven children, some of whom are buried in this cemetery.

Bet Bridwell acted as midwife for many and cared for the sick. She was a Mormon, having been converted by traveling ministers.
