May, 1859/60 in Pa. She married Perry DEETZ. I have this DEETZ family on the 1900 Allegany Co., MD census with 9 children. The Cumberland Times transcript lists a death for Sydney Ann LYNCH "an Allegany Co. patient....the mother of Mrs. Perry DEETZ of this city." I've been reading census reports (Bedford Co., PA) for CESSNA's and found: 1870: William CESSNA - age 72 Ann LYNCH - age 49 Jane CESSNA - age 10 Charley HENNING (HERRING?) - age 6 1860: William CESSNA - age 62 William LYNCH - age 6 Jane LYNCH - age 2 Sydney LYNCH - age 36 Can any LYNCH researchers in Allegany Co. help me with this family? I'm interested in contacting any descendants of, or researchers interested in, Philip FLETCHER (1768- 1854)of Allegany County. Philip was born in Taneytown, MD., a son of Jacob and Maria Magdalena HESS FLETCHER. The surname was originally rendered "Floesser", and pronounced roughly "Floetzer." Philip, the oldest child, relocated to the Pratt's Hollow area of Allegany County around 1825-30. He operated a tavern at the summit of Polish Mountain, just east of Flintstone on old Scenic 40. Philip's wife was the former Mary SULLIVAN of Taneytown. The family in Bedford County intermarried with the MEANS, WEIMER, O'NEAL, SPARKS, and SNYDER families, as well as many others. Philip and Mary had several children, some of whom married into the ELBIN, ELLIOT, and ADAMS families. In 1860, the Philip FLETCHER farm was sold to Hanson WILLISON, sheriff of Allegany County.

The only dates that I have are for John Andrew WILSON (1886-1945) I have talked with family members and literally have hit that brick wall with this family. Any help with this would be appreciated.

I'm looking for a documented family group for John and Naomi FISHER LASHLEY, late 1700's/ early 1800's of Allegany County. Specifically, has anyone compiled the stones in the Lashley Cemetery north of Flintstone, near the PA line? I'm looking for documentation, also, for establishing them as parents for Elizabeth LASHLEY, 1st wife of Jacob FLETCHER of Monroe Twp., Bedford County PA. Jacob's sister Mary Ann FLETCHER married Robert LASHLEY, another child of John and Naomi. Was there an estate settlement for John LASHLEY, and did the list of heirs mention Elizabeth? The above mentioned Fletcher siblings were children of Philip and Mary Sullivan Fletcher, both of the Flintstone area. Philip FLETCHER's farm lay east of Polish Mountain, near Pratt's Hollow (prob. north of I-68). Philip also ran a tavern on the old National Pike, on the summit of Polish Mtn, along what is now "Scenic Rt. 40". The families also had close ties with the DICKEN and WILSON families of Allegany and Bedford Counties.
