My gt-gt-gt grandfather John SHRYER married Christianna FETTER in Allegany Co. MD on 6/1/1795. A genealogy forum ventures that Christianna was born in Hagerstown MD. Christianna was evidently underage because a "letter" supported her right to marry. Beyond their marriage, we can find no documentation supporting Christianna's birth, parents, siblings, etc., nor any formal listing of John and Christianna's children. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello & THANK YOU everyone who sent me information relating to S.T. Little Jewelers. I was wondering if any of you might know of or have access to listings or records of any sort relating to my POOLE ancestors, who are as follows (note that the spelling was POOL until mid- 19th century, when it transformed to POOLE for some reason--some of these fellows used both spellings) Denton POOL, born in England, married in Bedford County PA somewhere around 1800-1810 Denton's son Samuel POOL (1816-1877, roughly, born in Cumberland) who married Margaret BLANKNEY SAMUEL/Margaret's son Arthur Atkinson POOLE (1842-1928, born in Cumberland), married Laura V. FRENCH I would love to know if Arthur had siblings, and if Denton or Samuel are buried anywhere in Allegany County--would probably have been in Cumberland, since they lived there for many decades (or their wives--I think, but am not sure, that Denton's wife was Elizabeth Barnes). ANY assistance or hints or resources you can think of will be most gratefully received. When I get all of this straightened out, I will post the entire POOLE genealogy, so people can see if anything links up (have to figure out how to do this--am not very computer savvy). Thanks so much--Elizabeth

I believe I have found Sylvanus in the 1840 and 1850 census. 1840 shows a son under age 5, so born prior to 1835. Who was this son? A daughter Rosanne was born 22 Dec 1830, but seems to have died before 1840. The 1850 census has a wife named Sarah, so I am assuming that Rebecca RIZER BENNETT had died. But where is Rebecca RIZER BENNETT buried? When did she die? Looking for also death data and details on Sylvanus BENNETT.

Hello, I am trying to confim the family of my gggrandfather Michael E. MOONEY who I believe was born to James and Elizabeth (TERNENT) MOONEY in Lonaconing, MD. 1880 Census has the family with James age 31, Elizabeth 24, Andrew 5, James 4, and Michael 1. 1900 census still in Lonaconing, now with more children but no Michael. He would be about 21 and may have left home as his brother James 24 and married and in Lonaconing. By 1920 Elizabeth was a widow and living in Turtle Creek PA, with sons Daniel A. and David A. I can not find Michael on any census until he is married to my gggrandmother by 1915 and living in Monroe County Rochester,NY. I am fairly certain that the above is his family since years ago an Uncle Dan (his brother) came up to visit. He came up from Turtle Creek PA and said the family came from Lonaconing, MD. Is anyone familar with this family? Can anyone give me any ideas on how to find out what happened to Michael between 1880 and 1915? Can anyone tell me how I can find out when his father James MOONEY died and where? I have written to the town of Lonaconing asking if it would be possible to obtain Michael's birth certificate, I have not heard back as of yet. Any thoughts about any of this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Sue
